Our Fair Payment System

In order to make Art Buds more accessible to those on a low income, we operate a tiered payment system in our classes. You can choose what you pay, based on your circumstances - you won't be asked for any proof. We just ask that you are honest! Currently, there are no free places in Art Buds, but we are working hard to secure funding that will allow us to offer free places to those in need.

Art Buds Collective is a social enterprise. By choosing to purchase an Art Buds Collective class or workshop, you are directly supporting our work in areas of socio-economic deprivation.

What Should I Pay?

There are 3 options to select from. Please choose the option which describes your current situation best, not all the statements will fit. 

Tier 1 - is this you?

• I am comfortably able to meet my basic needs.

• I own my own home or rent higher end property.

• I have an expendable income (I can take my children out for meals, to the cinema and buy them new items).

• By choosing to pay at this level, I understand that I am supporting ArtBuds to provide subsidised classes to children who would otherwise not be able to attend.

Tier 2 - is this you?

• I may stress about money, but I regularly meet my basic needs, and those of my children.

• I am employed, or someone in my household is employed or has an alternative income stream.

• I might have access to savings.

• I can buy my children new or second-hand items when required without significant financial burden, and have a small amount of expendable income for treats.

Tier 3 - is this you?

• I stress about meeting basic needs* for me and my children.

• I have debt and it sometimes stops me meeting my basic needs.

• I am unemployed or underemployed, and I have no savings.

• I have little or no expendable income (for things like coffees/teas, cinema trips, clothes for my children, etc).

*basic needs include food, housing, clothing and transportation
